Joe Barr - 2009
 
Joe Barr Derry cyclist and former Commonwealth Games medallist, comes out of retirement after 12 years to win the 1350 mile cycle Race Around Ireland 2009.
 
Joe completed the race in 4 days 12 hours and 12 minutes.

Team No Prior Experience and Swift Films - 2009
Swift Films are working on a documentary about "Team No Prior Experience" the winner of the Four Person Category.
Graham Little who put the team together is also in the TV Series "Colin and Graham's Excellent Adventures"
 
They completed the race in 2 days, 19 hours and 27 minutes.

An Post Team Connaught - 2009

An Post Team Connaught agreed to be guinea pigs to a massive science experiement for Clarity, Centre for Sensor Web Technologies in DCU (Dublin City University).

 
The An Post Team Connaught were a four person team and they came second in this category, finishing in 2 days, 20 hours and 38 minutes
