Are you cycling this Event for a Charity or an Organisation, if so which one and why?
We are cycling for Aware. I have lost some special people to depression over the last years and this is something I just cant ignore any longer. I feel we all need to be much more proactive and stop being so quiet about what really is a devastating problem in Ireland.
Do you have a link to a website you would like us to post on the Race Around Ireland website, to tell people about you and your endeavour?

How did you hear about the Race Around Ireland?
Though a friend in bicycle courier community.
What made you make up your mind to take part in this event?
I have done a few endurance races over the years and have been looking for another interesting one which wasn’t all about competition. The RAI is a serious race in my home country which makes me really proud to take part.
What concerns do you have about the Race Around Ireland?
Many! Head winds, letting the team and sponsors down, mechanical failure. Organisation itself looks very thorough.
What are you most looking forward to in the Race Around Ireland?
Meeting the other competitors, watching the kilometres ticking away, 5 days of wonderful cycling
Cycling or athletic history, cycling results etc:
Background is mostly racing in the Cycle Messenger World Championships at various cities around the world where I would finish usually mid pack in the finals. My biggest achievements personally have been the endurance races also organised by the international messenger community. I raced mountain bikes before 2000. Since being a messenger I have taken up windsurfing, sailing and surfing as work and play.
Who do you most admire in sport and why?
Jens Voigt for his enthusiasm and good nature, for his endless strength and motivating team spirit.
What is your motto for the Race Around Ireland?
Are we there yet ...........?
Do you have any sponsors helping you with this Event?
